As a student of International Relations and Middle East Studies, I am interested in the functioning of interpersonal mechanisms of exchange and cooperation, from diplomacy and statesmanship to the power of language and expression. As a historian, I am driven by a curiosity on how historical narratives are employed in modern discourse and their impact in modern-day politics and policy, with a particular interest in the Middle East and its sociopolitical and religious dynamics and history.
