Mats focuses his studies mainly on international relations, especially security policy. His main interest lies in all maritime topics, from the seabed to blue water marinas, as well as current developments in drone technology and the ethical challenges associated with it. In addition to his studies, he works at the Helmut Schmidt University of the German Armed Forces.
