Doctor of Engineering (EngD)

Dr. Markus Schiller is a distinguished expert in aerospace engineering and missile technology. He earned his mechanical and aerospace engineering degrees from the Technical University of Munich, completing his doctorate in astronautics in 2008. In 2015, he founded ST Analytics GmbH, a Munich-based consulting firm specializing in space technology, security threats, rockets, and missiles. His extensive experience includes roles at Schmucker Technologie and a Stanton Nuclear Security Fellowship at the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica in 2010/2011. Beyond leading ST Analytics, Dr. Schiller serves as an Associate Senior Researcher at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), a Non-resident Fellow at the Liechtenstein Institute at Princeton University, and is a member of the Missile Dialogue Initiative (MDI) Advisory Board. Since 2015, he has also been teaching a course on missiles at the Bundeswehr University in Munich. Dr. Schiller's expertise has been sought by NATO, the German federal government, the European Union, and various aerospace entities. He actively shares insights on missile technology and security issues on various platforms and social media.
