Marika Linntam is an esteemed Estonian diplomat who has been serving as the Ambassador of Estonia to Germany since September 27, 2023. She completed her law studies at the University of Tartu between 1997 and 2001, furthering her education in European law at the University of Trier and obtaining a master's degree from the University of Rennes 1 in 2002/2003. Linntam joined the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2001, where she has held various significant positions, including leading the European Law Division and representing Estonia before the European Court of Justice. She also served as a senior official at Estonia's Permanent Representation to the European Union in Brussels and was the Director General of the European Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2018 to 2023.
